It's been an incredible year. We've been busier than ever, expanded to more members than I ever imagined, and became a significant/active member of the Georgetown community. I want to thank each and every one of you for being an important part of that process.
Without every member of GSWAG we could not have accomplished this much. As President, it has been a truly humbling, rewarding, and exciting experience for me because of your hard work, diligence, and patience with my emails. I have seen this club grow from 5 students sitting around a table at Epi to an 82-person student-run communications consulting group that works with clients from the DMV area and beyond (including a client headquartered in Atlanta!).
I could go on and on, but I will save the semester review for another time. Fortunately, our club still has so much room for growth and improvement. I am extremely excited to watching it flourish for years to come at Georgetown and become the premier student-run communications group in the country. That is why I am so happy to announce that
Julia Kieserman, the current Director of Speechwriting,
will take over as President on May 1st.
Julia has been a member since Fall 2012 when she joined as a speechwriter and served this year as the Director of Speechwriting. She is a brilliant writer, communicator, and leader; I know that she will continue our proud tradition and take GSWAG to the next level.
Executive Board applications for 2014-15 closed last night, and we will announce the new Executive Board on Saturday, 4/5/14. Whoever is chosen to serve, I am confident will help Julia continually improve GSWAG and improve the experience for every member.
I still have a full month left as President and I hope to see everyone at our events so that we can enjoy the last month of school.
Have a great week!
