GSWAG Update -- Event this Tuesday!

Hey GSWAG,

Hope you are surviving the beginning of midterm season and the occasionally distracting GUSA campaign season. Hold out a little longer, Spring Break is less than 2 weeks away!

With that in mind, we have some great things planned for the next 12 days and have been busy working on speeches! Here's a quick update on what we have been doing and what's planned:

PAT HAGGERTY EVENT! -- We are lucky to welcome Mr. Pat Haggerty to campus this Tuesday night at 8 PM in St. Mary's 126. Please stop by to hear from a veteran speechwriter who has written for several Members of Congress and appeared in Borat and House of Cards! Join our event on Facebook and invite your friends. See you there!

T-SHIRTS -- Several people have asked me about ordering more t-shirts. Unfortunately, our previous order ran out although I know not everyone received a shirt. If you still want a shirt please fill out this spreadsheet with your name and shirt size. If 10 members want shirts I can order another batch.

NEWSLETTER SUBSCRIPTION -- I know I have mentioned this several times, but please sign-up for our newsletter. We need a critical mass before we can re-start this process. You can sign-up through our website, or via this link. Please tell your friends and family members to do the same!

PROJECT UPDATES -- We finished another speech this week, a 5-8 minute stump speech for New Hope Housing. Shout out to Milan Chang and Hayden Frye for their great work. I would also like to thank all of our new members who recently submitted practice speeches. The E-Board will review them and give you feedback before Spring Break. I am looking forward to reading them!

OPERATIONS PLANS -- As for the Operations Department, I am extremely excited to see what members come up with in terms of potential partners and clients. Additionally, Mike, Tarren, and I have talked about some serious revisions regarding the content on our website and we would love to engage the OPS team on that!

SOCIAL EVENTS! -- Last, but certainly not least, I want to start arranging more social events for the remainder of the semester. Besides pregames and parties, I would love to host dinners, BBQs, or other fun events! Please message me if you have any ideas or want to see anything happen and I'll work to plan it.
