Dear friends,
Just a few notes on upcoming veg-tastic events.
First, Café Green's monthly
COK benefit day is tomorrow, Wed., Nov. 17. This isn't an event so much as it is an opportunity to sit down for a great meal knowing that a portion of your tab will go to supporting
Compassion Over Killing's fantastic work.
Second, This Saturday is
Poplar Spring's annual
Thanksgiving potluck. Poplar Spring is an awe-inspiring sanctuary for rescued farm animals. This event is incredibly popular and attracts vegetarians and animal lovers from all over the area. However, it is a bit of a drive. If you have a car and plan on going and want to offer rides, let me know.
Also, major props to those of you off promoting vegan options around campus! So far this semester we have seen vegan options at every SALDF, Environmental Law Society and Gun Club event. We also rocked the EJF Rocktion with vegan pizza. Not to mention, vegan rootbeer floats under the clock tower, vegan options at pretty much every Gewirz event, and more options this year at the Market Place. Keep up the good work!
Sincerely,
Melissa
