GIP : New Console

A new geOrchestra Improvement Proposal has been opened:

GIP #20 - Replace the legacy Console application with the new Spring Boot georchestra-console
https://github.com/georchestra/improvement-proposals/issues/20

The proposal is to replace the current legacy Console application with the new georchestra-console implementation, based on Spring Boot and Java 21.

The expected benefits are mainly:
- reducing technical debt;
- modernizing the Console technical stack;
- keeping the existing /console integration point;
- simplifying deployment with a standalone JAR, systemd packaging and Docker support;
- improving maintainability, tests, accessibility/RGAA support, and future evolutions.

Before asking the PSC to vote, we would like to open the discussion with the community.

Une nouvelle geOrchestra Improvement Proposal a été ouverte :

La proposition consiste à remplacer l’application Console actuelle, basée sur l’ancien socle technique, par la nouvelle implémentation georchestra-console, basée sur Spring Boot et Java 21.

Les bénéfices attendus sont notamment :
- réduire la dette technique ;
- moderniser le socle technique de la Console ;
- conserver le point d’intégration existant /console ;
- simplifier le déploiement avec un JAR autonome, un packaging systemd et le support Docker ;
- améliorer la maintenabilité, les tests, l’accessibilité/RGAA et les évolutions futures.

Avant de demander un vote du PSC, nous souhaitons ouvrir les échanges avec la communauté.
