what is the URL of the domain making the lookups? It sounds like your site has been blacklisted, which depending on the severity of lookup abuse is either a blank page or a sin-binning (no reply) at the firewall which would cause your site to hang.

In any case, there have been no reported problems lately with the service, in spite of a doubling in traffic over the last few weeks.

Andy

Hi the website is www.simplymatchme.com, please let me know if we are blacklisted (We don't make too many calls so I don't believe we should be blacklisted)

I also paid for the SSL service access and have not received my key. We made a mistake and moved over to SSL without updating this plugin to https as well and a major flow of our profile is broken. Anyway you can help me get the key quickly? We paid last night.

Hi Hans,
This is the reason - your HTTPS pages will not send the referrer hence the requirement for the SSL key, in which case queries are not answered. The key has been sent out to you and once implemented on your end the problem should resolve itself.

So I resolved that issue and added the key to the SSL.

I am noticing a weird pattern that around this time of the day (midnight PST) I am not able to access the geoplugin from my computer.

I had a few of my friends try to access my site www.simplymatchme.com and they are seeing it hang on the call to the plugin as well. Are there some upgrades going on in the last few days?
