_id for spatial records

Hi Mark,

I was wondering if there is an id that I can use to identify spatial records.

As far as I know there should be a "_id" field always present. Does this apply alwasy to spatial tables?

I need something to get a grip on, so that if a user changed some values and commits, I can update the record through that id.

What do you think?
