There was never an intention to display Shape files in geopaparazzi.
- attempts were made to convert one to spatialite, but nothing more.

It is better to use the import function of spatialite to create a db that can be used in geopaparazzi.

Are you saying to use spatialite-gui and Import .shp files?   How could I go about doing this?  "The load shape file option " or "load virtualshape file"?

There are pretty good instructions here (which I found in the Geopaparazzi wiki):


..with one added step: make sure you "update layer statistics" for each layer once you have imported all your layers.
