TheAIVSisalso known for its Archive, which housesthe largestcollections ofmicrofilmed Verdi materials in the world. Students, scholars andperformersfrom around the world visit the AIVS Archive to access rare manuscriptand printed scores, thousands of librettos, vast amounts ofcorrespondence and archival records, stage and costume designs, and19th-century periodicals. The AIVS Archive is located in the ElmerHolmes BobstLibrary at New York University.
