Job Description:
AnaVation is looking for a talented Geospatial Software Engineer who is passionate about working with cutting edge technologies. The ideal candidate appreciates partnering with a customer and a group of engineers dedicated to solving challenging problems.
Our team of engineers has been working with geospatial technologies to create innovative solutions that meet our customer’s ever growing, mission specific requirements for over five years. As a result of the close relationship developed with our customer, we have the ability to research, define and recommend technologies and are involved in all parts of the software development life cycle. The applications we help to develop are highly customized, help to automate the business processes of our customer, and allow them to perform various types of analysis on datasets that they would not normally be able to do. The geospatial engineer is responsible for creating, publishing and editing ArcGIS web services as well as to maintain the ArcGIS servers that host these services. The engineer is also responsible for assisting in the direction, application development, and analytical tool development of the geospatial products we develop.

Qualifications:
· Top Secret Clearance
· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Information Systems
· 2+ years of experience with 1+ years of experience creating, editing and publishing geospatial services that are consumed by third party tools
· 2+ years of experience working with ArcGIS products such as ArcGIS Server, ArcGIS Desktop, and ArcGIS Analyst tools and ArcGIS APIs
· 2+ years of experience in software development, to include each phase of the software development life cycle
· 1+ years working with C#/ASP.net
· 1+ years working with JavaScript, AJAX, and JQuery
· Strong object oriented design skills
· Excellent communication skills
Desired skills:
· Master's degree in Computer Science or Information Systems
· Experience working with third party library controls, such as Telerik
· Experience working with the Google Earth APIs and KML language
· Experience or exposure to Oracle 11i database with knowledge of ArcSDE
