just slow. I have restarted the db, some db process seemed to have been
turning endlessly.

Bye the way, do you know why I always have to moderate your postings?
Shouldn't googlegroups automatically change the status of a new poster
after the first approved posting?

No idea. I dont have this in other Google Groups...

Another question: what DB are you using for your webservices? And,is
there a datamodel for your DB available?

We are using postgres with postgis.
There are some create table and load statements and in the faq :
