How often is the downloadable data updated?

Hi,

I'm planning on using GeoNames data in a geocoding application, and I'm trying to determine how often I'll need to download and import data into the geocoder. 

Does anyone know how frequently the downloadable data files are updated at this location? I'm specifically interested in the US.zip data file.

Hi Jennifer

The files in the directory are updated once per day.

You can see the recent changes for the US here:
