Geonames and Geo MashUp

I am using geomashup on a family history project, for a free to use
website are there any limits on the calls we can make to geonames if
we use geomashup with geonames?

The limit for the free api is 30000 credits per day and 2000 credits per
hour.

Depending on the type of calls and the information that you need, I
have a similar API running as well, with no limits (yet). If your
project is an Open Source project, I would be willing to let you use
that API at no cost.
