I tried "Check for Updates' from the Help Menu on my Macbook while GSP5 was running, but it then went to Apple OSX updates. Can you help please? Do others here have the same problem or have you managed the update as described?

Not to worry! Looks like RESTARTING my Macbook solved the problem. Going to the HELP menu, now shows the 'Check for Updates' further down.
(But not sure what caused the problem in the 1st place ... strange!)
