Adhering to our theme in geography of being critical of the data, I have not verified whether the above density representation is accurate. But even if it is off some, it shows that if we all stood shoulder to shoulder, it is a big planet, and indeed there are some significant areas that are devoid of population! On the other hand, we do have a large imprint as a species, extending far beyond the physical space we inhabit.
