I'm interested in following the answers this thread may receive.  Michele, our department is past due for a program review.  We have externals on reviews, but his sounds different, Who do you see as potential members?  Industry and/or faculty?  Gillian K. has done consultation with employers for UVic.

Hi Crystal and all.  I have had one reply so far, from an articulation member where there used to be an external advisory committee but that is not being currently done.

 

Geography is also in Program Review this year at VIU, and I am leading that here.  It is a lot of work! 

 

We have some shared credentials with our Geoscience Program colleagues and they have an active advisory committee.  I have attended some of their meetings before.  I was thinking about External industry/community people for this idea, which would be the same as Geoscience.   (Although our grads go to a wider variety of careers so that is one challenge to consider. 

 

I look forward to hearing from others who may be doing this or considering it.  I am happy to share results of this informal survey later as well.
