Urgent - auxiliary hire for Capilano U, First Year Weather and Climate

Hello Geography Colleagues.

Could you please share the following with your departments?

The Geography Department at CapU is requiring an auxiliary hire to substitute for two sections of GEOG 114: Weather and Climate I starting September 7 and throughout the month of September, at our North Vancouver campus. There is a possibility that this work will continue throughout the term.

The two sections are:

GEOG 114 – 01 Mondays and Wednesdays 8:30 – 11:30 (times include 4 hours lecture and 2 hours of lab)*

GEOG 114 – 03 Tuesdays and Thursdays 1:00 – 4:00 pm (times include 4 hours of lecture and 2 hours of lab)*

*These sections have been scheduled as blended/hybrid so the instructor has the flexibility of scheduling some of this time as online and as well on campus. The original plan was to have online lectures posted for students to access asynchronously (ideally using the first 3-hour block of the week) and then to meet students on campus for the second 3-hour block of the week for lab instruction and work. This plan is flexible.
