Hi all,
We're excited to share that our team will be presenting as part of an upcoming NASA Applied Remote Sensing Training (ARSET) course: Monitoring and Predicting Floods Using Earth Observations for Planning and Preparedness.
This free, three-part online training takes place on June 18, 23, and 25, and is led by scientists from NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory, Brigham Young University, GEOGLOWS, and Aquaveo LLC. Participants will be guided through hands-on exercises using real Earth observation data, including NASA's OPERA flood monitoring products and the GEOGLOWS streamflow prediction model.
In Part 3 (June 25), Rachel Huber Magoffin will present a 35-minute overview of the River Forecast System (RFS) methodology, followed by a live HydroViewer demonstration by Riley Hales, Technical Director of GEOGLOWS and Hydroinformatics Lab Manager at BYU, and a live Q&A session.
Session Times (both options cover the same content):
• Session A: 11:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. EDT (UTC-4)
• Session B: 2:00 p.m. – 3:30 p.m. EDT (UTC-4)
Those who attend all three parts live and complete the required homework by the deadline will receive a certificate of completion.
