Here is some test on Ubuntu 8.04.1 LTS.
Screenshot with actual font:

Here is BPG Sans (Book) SIZE 10, that is bigger then
REGULAR Sans(also size 10). I'm not even sure if Book style
is OK for general GUI. One thing is sure, it's really big.

With Best Regards,
Vladimer
P.S Is regular size ready? First of all I prefer to compare Regular
Sans and then others.

Some screens of whole desktop:
Before:
http://gnome.inet.ge/alinux/dejavu2/screen_sans.png (Size 10)
After:
http://gnome.inet.ge/alinux/dejavu2/screen_sans_new.png (Size 10)
Gnome File Manager Nautilus:
Before:
http://gnome.inet.ge/alinux/dejavu2/nautilus_sans.png
After:
http://gnome.inet.ge/alinux/dejavu2/nautilus_sans_new.png
First impression is that new font is not wide as original sans,
In nautilus_sans_new.png desappears letter "ფ"-s shortcut line.(maybe
the same for other long letters, if used as shortcuts).
I personally prefer the old sans style, but it's only my impression,
maybe I'm simply accustomed to original Sans (old Rioni).
What can tell other members of this mailig list ?

Here it si some screens:

Dear Sir. Bessarion, I think that we should leave Sans in current
state, you think that
letters are little bit "funny" or "kiddy" "ბავშვური", but I don't
agree because it's really SUPER
suitable with GNOME, and GTK based applications. Before original
Rioni, I've tested so many other fonts,
first time I tried Rioni (current Georgian Dejavu Sans), I really fell
in love, and so many people loved that font-style.
So IMHO we should leave Sans in original state.
Some people (as I remmember) don't liked current Monospaced font. (I
personally don't agree! I like them too...):

I think that we should improve Serif in Dejavu first, it's unic font
that I don't admire(as Rioni for example).
I repeat it's only my opinion :)
here it is current serif screenshot:
http://gnome.inet.ge/alinux/dejavu2/serif.png ( in smaller size,
letters aren't fine legible)
Thank you for your time...
Best Regards,
Vladimer
