 Nice article by Ted Parson, with which I completely agree, except for this:

"Research suggests it [solar geoengineering (SG)] can work, with harmful side effects that are well understood and small relative to the climate harms it would avoid;"

Research does not suggest that the harmful effects are well understood and small.  That is why we do research and are still trying to quantify the risks of implementation of  SG vs. the risks of not doing it.
