Save the Date: Climate Restoration Summit at EarthX in Dallas, 22 April 2025

Hello friends of climate repair and restoration,
I suspect you’re deluged with holiday invites…so this is a Save-the-Date for Earth Week in April.
You may have heard about (or even attended) EarthX, a five-day event in Dallas around Earth Day. Organizers pull in environmentalists and policy makers from throughout the political spectrum and the world; their goal is to become the most important environmental meeting in the U.S.
For EarthX 2025, organizers invited us to convene the First Annual Climate Restoration Summit! This no doubt results from a lot of recent momentum—
MIT creating an “atmospheric restoration” program;
Bezos offering an X-prize for tech that could restore pre-industrial levels of greenhouse gases;
A climate restoration resolution passed in California and one introduced in Washington.
So for the Summit, we’re gathering leaders in the field to share ideas, advance the field and enroll other attendees in climate restoration. You’ll find it’s a world-class networking opportunity as well, with a lot of groups and interests you may not typically interact with.
And you’re invited!
You could come for the CR Summit day or longer. The week’s agenda is in progress, but speakers committed so far include: Sylvia Earle, Paul Watson, Van Jones, Lynne Twist, Jane Fonda, Rachel Carson Begley and other Hollywood climate activists, policy analyst Susan Eisenhower, and representatives of island states.
