Hi

I'm just curious as to whether wetting the stratosphere could suppress SAI?

Ambient water potentially makes aerosols grow and fall, as they're hygroscopic. This isn't a very leveraged process, as you'd have to add 7x aerosol mass to double the diameter of particles.

Is there a way to leverage water addition to the stratosphere - eg using black carbon to heat the tropopause, thus allowing increased convection of thunderstorm water?

Adding methane to the atmosphere may have both a direct effect on the radiation budget and also oxidize to stratosphere water vapour. But again, volumes are large.
