Third announcement: Virtual Workshop Series on Stratospheric Aerosol Injection (SAI)

Dear colleagues,

This is the third announcement of the virtual workshop series on Stratospheric Aerosol Injection (SAI) taking place 6 – 9 October 2025 via Zoom.

The submission deadline for presentation titles/abstracts has been extended to 29th August.

You may submit an abstract to these themes; presentations can range from very short (3 minutes) to longer presentations up to 10 minutes. 

Themes:
• Observational strategies: detection, monitoring, and attribution
• SAI modeling: processes, capabilities, and uncertainties
• Simulation strategies and scenario exploration (emulators)
• Impacts on atmospheric composition, from the stratosphere to air quality
• Global and regional surface climatic impacts, including societal and ecological
• Ethical aspects of studying and testing SAI
