I am delighted to announce that David Mitchell from the Desert Research Institute in Nevada will be leading a conversation at our HPAC meeting tomorrow Thursday at 4:30 - 5:45 PM Eastern time entitled:

“Can Cirrus Clouds Cool the Arctic?  What Recent Advances in Satellite Remote Sensing Reveal.” 

David published the first paper on the climate intervention method known as “cirrus cloud thinning” (CCT) and has developed a satellite remote sensing method to test the viability of CCT and to verify its impact should it ever be tested in a field campaign. 

We will also have the opportunity to share information, hear from new participants, discuss our HPAC white paper and more.
