Google maps v3

There're plans to migrate the gmaps module to the new version of
google maps api? Google put version 2 as deprecated, so it's a good
reason to think about it.

There are a lot of pending patches for the Google Maps interface. It's
my goal upgrade support it to latest version in the next release of
Django. There's a related ticket on the Google Maps version used,
though they're arguing that it should default to version 2 instead of 2.x:

If it is indeed deprecated then the ticket can revised for v3.

However, v2 will continue to be supported for 3 years.
