Using F() and distance queries

Hi. For an app I'm working on, I have a model which has 2 relevant
fields: a PointField and a max_distance (SmallIntegerField).

I need a way to:

Given a point, find all of the models where the point is within the
model's max_distance.

Ideas?

This is a long shot, but where you able to figure this one out? I'm working on something and am stuck on this as well.
