Hi everyone,

I'm giving a talk to introduce GeoDjango soon, and I was wondering if anyone could point me to some example sites that show the power of this framework.

So far, I have:

But my googling for more live examples has failed me.

Thanks in advance for your help!

I work on a few sites that use GeoDjango, all on the same theme of mapping publicly owned vacant property, and each gives vacant lots their own pages where people can talk about them and organize around them:

The website below runs GeoDjango (I am the main developer).

The website is in portuguese, but it is a good example of GeoDjango, PostGIS, OpenLayers and Mapbox:

hey!

hello Mr. Brelsford. .

I'm quite interested on your sites.
I'm also working on a web mapping project and would like learn about django and how it is used in mapping..

I can see that point shapefiles were used in the web. . (http://groundedinphilly.org/ , https://livinglotsnola.org , 596acres.org )
how was it possible that these datasets are displayed in the web. ? .
I've already followed tutorials on django (geodjango for web maps) and I can not display my shapefile (polygons) on the web. .
these shapefiles were imported into postgis via cmd console. . so establishment of the connection between posgresql and django is true.
since django itself loads the shapefile into the database.

i had already viewed these polygons in the admin site. . and do not know how to view these polygons in public site, i mean, i have a "map.html"
template and the base map is Openstreet map. . i was not able to overlay shapefile on these. .how would i do that??

By the way, this shapefile is a multipolygon. .
Hope I can learn something through this. . thanks a lot for this. .
