*20 upstream prematurely closed connection while reading response header from upstream

after following all the other setups and installation guides; and am
still unable to get the simple tutorial (http://geodjango.org/docs/
tutorial.html) to operate. Have both apache & nginx operating - error
I continue to get - "*20 upstream prematurely closed connection while
reading response header from upstream, client: " now this has happened
with or without nginx (of course prior I didn't have the error log for
nginx) but I simply cannot find the issue - I am not running PHP,
which is the normal cause of similar issues. My guess is there is an
authorization issue somewhere between the nginx --> apache2 -->
dgjango --> postgresql combination. Any ideas on how to fix. I totally
flushed iptables (as prior that was an issue) but to no avail. Any
help welcome. - thanks

Bo,

Have you tried running a sample app using the django dev server?

That way if its a postgres permissions issue (my guess) then you'd get
a nicer error.
