Hello all,

My favorite book from my geodesic library, long out-of-print, is "Domebook 2", published in the early 1970's.

There is now a free digital PDF version available online here (91.79 Mb):

...from PublicCollectors.org:

Even though I still have my original paperback copy, it's nice to have a digital backup copy! For many of you, this may be a first introduction to this rare publication.

Enjoy!

ADDENDUM:

I have just noted that pages 93 and 94 were "torn out" of the book scanned for the PDF file.

I have scanned my own hardcopy, and have attached, below, page 93, as a PDF file. (Page 94 to follow.)

DOMEBOOK2 remain the best book of my collection of books on geodesic
structures.
I purchased my copy from Compendium bookshop in London.

I bought mine over 35 years ago, for 5 dollars! I hope you didn't pay too dearly for yours. (I've heard of prices over $100-150.)

I would have posted a copy of the PDF version here, within the "Files section," but it would have virtually exhausted the allowed Google Group storage space.

I've made this post a "sticky," so that it stays at the top of the discussions. As long as it stays available at PublicCollectors.org, everyone will have access. If it "disappears" from there, I'll try to find means for making it otherwise available. (Hmmm, I hope copyright doesn't get in the way!)

I don't have a quality PDF convertor, so the page 93-94 files are surprisingly large. The original PNG scans are of larger pixel dimensions, and smaller file size. I'm disappointed that the PDF convertor downsized the images so much. (I've experimented with the settings, but Photoshop Elements just doesn't provide the PDF "horsepower" that's provided by Photoshop CS.)

Here's the original "Page93.png" file.

...and here's the "Page94.png" file.

Smaller files, larger overall dimensions, and higher quality than the previously-provided PDFs.

Well, it's finally happened. Our links to online postings of Domebook 2 have been killed.

Shelter Publications has, apparently, taken action to protect their copyright, and the two online sources, referenced in earlier posts, have been taken down.

You can still find it on Scribd (for the moment, anyway)....

I also found a PDF copy at the website of "Washington State Department of Archaeology and Historic Preservation"

This is, apparently, the same PDF referenced in the original post, since pages 93 and 94 are missing. You can download those pages in the 2nd and 3rd replies to the original post.

I bought mine NEW from a campus bookstore in Lansing, Mich. Wore it out when I was building a dome back in the '70s. Still a treasured book in my library!

Hi there.
Does anyone have pdf copy of the full  manual please.
Links either don't work anymore or require a credit card payment. I do not have one.
I am on a tiny island in the caribbean and do not have access to library or book stores.
I am hoping to build domes in Dominica to create a self sustained art retreat
Can anyone help?
Merci.
