I did look at an article about randomes, which I found on the web.
That was a very ingenious approach! I congratulate you on your
receiving the patent.
I see the benefits of having pre-formed shapes (a.k.a. conical
panels) being bound to each other to form a shell.
Do I assume that you would have some kind of compressive/spongy sealant layer (i.e. 2-sided foam adhesive tape) between overlapping panels at the bolting "seam-line" ?
Or was the intent that the Randome is for a temporary shelter, providing an enclosure for short-term special purpose ?
Any materials better than others for forming the cones on a dome diameter of size 30 ft ?
Any preferred method for binding/bolting cones together, which would minimize stress tearing at bolt-holes ?
I saw a photo where it seemed like the dome was suspended by
cables from above (hooked to trees?). Is that how it is intended,
or is it mean to stand alone from its own integrity ?
