What do you guys think about the Amazon dome ?

First i was designed like this :

It resembles a zome, but the top is round. Does anyone have a SketchUp model of such a dome ?

This is the actual amazon dome now :

Which is much more complex, looks like a radome ? Would love to have a sketchup model of that too :)

Man i wish i could build such structures one day.

remi docs,

You should check the SketchUp 3D Warehouse. I think you're wish was granted. (Well, the "having" part -- not the "building" part.)

Ha! I did it -- that which I swore I'd never be caught doing!

I used "you're" when I meant "your"

Actually, I started to write "you're going to be pleased," but revised. Alas, not enough....

remi docs,

The Amazon headquarters domes were subject of discussion here, in 2013:
...Floret Design - Geodesic Help Group

If you're interested in the underlying polyhedron geometry, you should find the discussion enlightening (or, at least, find more pretty pictures.)

OMG ! Thank you Taff !!!

I started reading the link you posted, and wow, you made it look so simple.

Taff were you one of the designers for the Amazon dome ? or did you really just make a perfect computer model just based of a picture ?
You are one talented guy!

I'm a fairly reasonable mimic, with good spacial perception. (Questionable on original thought, though.)

What do you think about the first design that was rejected, is it a zome ? cause most of the rhomboids seem identical in size. I'd make a sketchup model but wouldn't know where to start :(

Amazon Domes
The Amazon domes are not geodesic; they are conjoined spheres with a ‘Catalan Skin’ made of irregular pentagons.

NBBJ, the architect firm, submitted three successive design proposals to Seattle's Design Board:

The second one has the most technical detail about the domes:
