Setting up the GeoDB

Hi!

I am a bit new to this and I want to do the following:

1. Set-up the GeoDB. I tried to use the explanation on this page: https://github.com/jdeolive/geodb , but I fell short. Can someone please provide a more elaborate explanation. I have updated the environment variable.

2. Load files with data into the db. I have a bunch of shape-files I want to make use of :)

Hi.

Can you provide more information about where you feel short? It’s a little tough to help with no context about the problem. 

As for loading Shapefiles I suggest you take a look at the GeoTools library which has apis for reading Shapefiles. With that and a bit of Java code it should be straight forward to load them into a geodb database.
