My wife had a conference in Columbia, Missouri, about 2 hours west of home. Of course, I went along and used my time to go find some dashpoints.
Dashpoint: GDEM-BUXI
Coordinates: 38.9399, -90.9688
Location: Lincoln County, MO, about 41 miles NW of home
Date/time: 5 Jun 2019 12:08 PM
Temperature: 88 F
Closest approach: 270 ft / 82 meters
We turned from Sand Run Road into a driveway that lead across a small bridge and around a small pond. This was within scoring range so we stopped. The driveway curled around the pond and continued on to a house to our right. A farm field was between two tree lines to our left. A large piece of farm equipment was sitting next to the field.

Closest approach: 897 ft / 273 meters
Even in my map research, this one was iffy, requiring a short walk to get within scoring range. It became even more so when we reached the road to get us close and found a chain blocking access to the area. A No Trespassing sign was posted on a sign right next to the chain. I briefly thought about walking the distance but all signs said no so I had to let it go.

Closest approach: 226 ft / 69 meters
We turned from Rt. A to Rt. F and quickly reached the closest point to this DP. The road was a bit sunken here so there wasn’t much to see directly from the closest point. We had just passed a Century Farm, run by the same family for more than 100 years. The farmhouse had a white fence and several various out-buildings. As we continued, there were hay fields which we saw a lot of today. And the road continued up and down many hills.
