We made a long trip mostly to get this one dashpoint. It is our first dashpoint in Howard County, Missouri. We found it after several miles of gravel roads and right after going past a house. After passing the house, the road descended quickly and we stopped half way down to make some notes. Even though it would be a tight squeeze for someone else to get by, I wasn’t too worried since there is so little traffic in places like this. The corn field on the other side of the road from the house had ended and the sloping bank was covered with Queen Anne’s Lace. There was a small creek at the bottom of the hill and trees covered both sides of the creek for some distance. The sky today was beautiful after some heavy storms in the past week or so. We had noticed this morning while driving that there was a bright blue sky without a cloud to be seen. That had given way to some big puffy cumulus clouds doting the blue sky. It was a long trip but it was nice to get a dashpoint in another county. Thanks to the llamas for finding this spot to place this dashpoint.
