We continued our epic journey by driving from Massachusetts down to Maryland to visit our daughter for a couple of days. Along the way, we found these dashpoints.

Another DP in New England in thick woods although there were plenty of houses around. A small granite ledge in the woods run parallel to the road about 20-30 feet from the road. It was about 20 feet long. There was a hollow stump about 6 inches high nearby. Ahead was a 25 MPH speed limit sign.

Yet another New England dashpoint in the woods although the houses are now close enough that they are easily seen. The DP is behind a light brown, 2 story house with an attached garage. The house sits downhill from the road. A nice 2-3 foot tall stonewall borders the road in front of the house.
We continued around NYC, unfortunately my GPS directed me across the George Washington Bridge and the traffic getting to the bridge was awful. Some people like to go 60 MPH in the breakdown lane and then cut in front of me when the space available doesn’t fit their vehicle. Phew!

This one was close so I switched to metric measurement just to be sure. I was in a neighborhood of nice, 2 story houses of somewhat recent vintage all with neatly mowed green lawns. The DP is behind one such house on Nate Lane. I got out of the car and walked on the sidewalk and then took 2 or 3 steps into their lawn to get the GPS to register 98 meters. I was walking towards an ornamental tree inside a 3 layer brick edge. The mailbox was painted white and head an ornate letter “S” painted on the post. Some nice yellow flowers and an American flag were planted at the base of the post.

We found this DP in a large green field. Several nearby trees separated the field from the house next to it. The tree closest to the road had several trunks. The house was gray-blue with an above ground pool in front of it. A couple of storage sheds stood in the back.
