It was probably silly of me to have wasted the gasoline on this, but it was easy to reach and I did an Adventure Lab while I was at it. I reached my closest while in the middle of Neola Street, in the Eagle Rock District of L.A, a little west of Pasadena. The house at #1246 is painted in several shades of green and has a carport rather than a garage. This arrangement is rather typical of this area, which has a lot of what we tend to call "California bungalows". Some of these houses are over 100 years old and show some Craftsman influences, as well as some Colonial Revival and other styles.
