We made a quick trip over the Mississippi River to this point in a run down area near the river. In the town of Madison, we turned from the IL Rt 203, the main road through the area, onto 3rd St. At the corner with McNair Ave, the road turns left, away from the DP. To our right, a chain link fence with an open gate led to a service area for Amtrak train cars. We went through the gate and a few hundred feet later, we were right next to the rail cars. Since we were close enough to the DP, we decided to do a U-turn and go back. The DP was in a water retention area where rain water is allowed to flow into and then slowly percolate into the soil. This avoids having rain water flow directly into streams and rivers. It was an interesting DP, thanks to the llamas for placing it here.
