Very NICE features:

- can display more than one volume and set transparencies

- immediate cursor readout for each volume


Below is a list of enhancements / defects in Section View, not in any
particular order:

- 2D lines fail to display

- Navigation dialog

- users cannot type in an IL or XL number in the Current box, hit
return, and have the view go to that IL or XL

- when users try to slide the IL or XL control, the plot continually
tries to refresh and draw the new line. It should wait until the user
finishes moving or releases the slider and then draw the line.

- the Scaling button on the Section View window should have a box around
it so it is recognized as a button to press


- Settings dialog:

- as in other displays, a RMB click should bring up the Settings dialog

- colormap is too short and the dialog window generally too long - maybe
using tabs for parameter sections would help

- the Variable Density option fails to turn off when the other Fill
Styles are selected (it used to at one time)

- maybe the Norm option should default to "By Limits" or else the Start
and End Values should be dim when set to other options. Right now users
expect to be able to change the Start or End, press Apply and see the plot
change. But nothing happens except their values revert back to the
original values because the Norm is set to something other than by limits.

- when users roll the mouse button, the display zooms in but it does it
many, many times. If possible, it should wait for the wheel to stop and
then display the new view.

- Section View "Trace" annotation must show cdp for 2D and IL or XL for
3D

- when Section is started, the Time labels do not align with the timing
lines. Even after an IL or XL is selected, they still do not align, and
worse yet, they are wrong. Moving the scroll bar or resizing the window
will correct the problem but this should not be necessary.

- horizons should display in their default color. Currently all are red.

- once a user sets the inline or xline in the section viewer, this
should be displayed on the plot as annotation for screen captures

- allow Settings parameters set up in the first Section plot window (or
add a Section View panel in Edit / Preferences) to be inherited in new
subsequent Section plot displays

- after zooming in with the rectangle zoom or rolling the mouse wheel,
the horizontal scroll bar limits scrolling to that rectangle and does not
allow scrolling to the left or right edge of the data. Same for the
vertical scroll bar.

- it would be nice if there were a simple "reset time window" button

Another item...when the user rolls the mouse wheel, the section zooms in
or out. This is kind of nice and is the way the 3D viewer zoom works. But
the difference is that the 3D viewer does not have scroll bars on the plot
window. When a section view user sees the vertical scroll bar, they expect
that rolling the mouse wheel will scroll up or down. It seems the zoom
icon is clearer and should be used for zoom instead of the mouse wheel.
