No problem, glasses on there own shouldn't be an issue, and I'm sure during the day you haven't really noticed, Face ID just seems to work. But at night I've found other factors come in to play, if lying down the device can end up being closer to the face when in fact Face ID works best at arms length. Also your face can get distorted depending on how you are lying (or as anypats points out, on what) which again can throw it out a bit.
I agree with all that SiHancox has said and will add that when your face is in a pillow FaceID may not be able to capture all of your face and doesn't unlock. The same can happen when lying on your side. Test it in a dark room when you aren't in bed and you'll see that the darkness doesn't affect FaceID.
As I mentioned already, your darkness is simply what you are unwilling to deal with. In ignorance, the darkness grows, and it influences everything you do. It becomes the puppet master, and you are the puppet. If you continue down this path, your deeper sense of suffering builds. The more you suffer, the more it becomes second nature to respond to life from this suffering. That may turn you into a greater and greater victim or a greater and greater perpetrator of painful acts. For instance, the woman who does not deal with her history of sexual abuse may continue to unconsciously attract more and more abusive romantic partners. The man who was badly physically abused by his mother when he was a child may become more and more manipulative of women as he continues on his journey.
I think that this perk is so-so and you kinda have to build around it, but it could stand in as a great proof of concept for a hex totem rework. Imagine if BHVR was doing what they always do, ie collecting data behind the scenes, and then BOOM, all hex reworked to only activate after you hit a survivor, they spawn into the map at a random place and then despawn after a while, phasing the totem in and out, giving perceptive survivors a leg up and protecting the killers marbles for a while longer.
You'll lose the perk long before you get much value out if it and the scream component lets them all know that you see where they're at. It also is a very short duration aura read as well as happening not very often at all.
that is terrible design. imagine having your hex:lullaby which already sucks as is turn on and off so half the time perk does not work. that is fanatic way to nerf all hex perks to worse then what they already are. Oh and that one time where your hex totem wasn't found because it spawned in good spot and not out in the open? Yeah that spot, Oh yeah, let's respawn that hex totem by generators. On top of that, the perk shut off by survivors healing.... like what, the high supposed high risk perks are controlled by survivor actions meaning they can manipulate the spawn until they destroy the perk. 10/10 design.
The best design for hex totems is to either bring back old undying which forces survivor cleanse all totems to fully disable the killer perk(I.e create secondary objective for survivor) OR rework all hex perks to use Hex:Plaything system where once a survivor is cursed, a hex totem is created with specific effect that target survivor or targets a gen(in the case of lullaby/ruin). Even with creating secondary objective, I am not entirely sure how many people would really be using third seal or silly meme tier perks like crowd control. Face the darkness is perfect example of how NOT to design a hex perk.
The only idea that came to mind with the perk is trying to do a full Hex defense build with thrill and other Hexes, combine it with a killer that can harass people from totems and you can make really obnoxious situations and very hard to deal if not on SWF.
It's neat on stealth killers. I think of it like Bloodhound: sure it's a bit underwhelming compared to other perks but it does it's job and if it got buffed before somethin like Furtive Chase, Territorial Imperative or Beast of Prey, I'd be really confused and a bit annoyed
it, thrill and devour can be a build. by itself tho, idk how much value you are getting. good on oni tho, get your 1st hit and it shows you where your 2nd hit is. and getting value in the power is just massive
I've tried it on numerous killers with various builds and it was consistently subpar to useless even when it didn't get cleansed for most of the match. You can only get value out of if you hit and run or someone takes a free hit, and even then most of the time the information it gave me wasn't any better than a perk like Whispers. And of course survivors these days heal up quite efficiently, and with most matches have CoH it makes the perk even worse. The only matches I was glad I had it was ones vs survivors who just hid in corners, but in such scenarios Whispers would've been better.
Hi Community,
Depending on time of the day and the corresponding lighting situation in my office, my face is frequently shown very dark.
a) How can I access the camera properties menu during (!) a call. Note: I know the properties menu, but it is not accessible during a call.
b) Any current smartphone recognizes a face in a video stream and brightens the picture so the face is lit properly. I'd like to suggest that Teams should have the same functionality.

@Ed Woodrick Thank you for the suggestions. Unfortunately I cannot move the camera closer. I've thought about zoom. Again: The zoom settings aren't available during the call. I already have installed indirect lighting, but this cannot compete with the bright daylight in the background, and direct light is too bright for my eyes. Btw: Making a selfie from the camera's location with my smartphone results in a perfectly lit image.
Yes, there are ways to compensate for MS Teams providing terrible camera auto-adjustments. That does not address the chief issue: MS Teams provides terrible camera auto-adjustments. Same position seated, same lighting, same everything, but open Skype or Slack or a myriad of competitors instead of Teams, and the lighting is just fine. Teams is the problem here.
@Ed Woodrick I actually tried using the smartphone when I learned that I can transfer calls from phone (Teams app) to PC vice versa and even use it parallel. Unfortunately, due to the design of the integration I cannot only use the camera of the smartphone and keep all the rest on the big screen.
Similar to you I was an extremely angry and depressed adolescent and young adult who for a time embraced my darkness and allowed myself to feel it absolutely and completely. But with age (hallelujah!) and much soul searching and the recognition of Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior my disposition has become light hearted with much laughter (which really is the best medicine).
Apply on its own, use as a primer or mix with foundation. Using a foundation brush, beauty blender or your fingertips apply small dots across your face, neck and dcollet and blend in circular movements.
I have been using mods in Fallout 4 and Skyrim for over 20 years. I am recently revisiting Fallout 4 after 4 years so there is a lot I have forgotten about modding this game and there are hundreds of new mods. I am currently using Mod Organizer 2 but I have used every mod manager that has ever been created (NMM, Vortex, etc.) I usually run 300+ mods. It never fails but in both of these games I always run into the black face, dark face, rusty face or neck seem issues. I am a little OCD about this because it breaks immersion for me when someone is walking around looking like someone slapped their head onto their body with duct tape or like they put their head in a deep fryer. It probably does not help that I have an ultra high resolution monitor running display port and will support to 144 MHz so I notice things most people would miss. Moving on I am sure other people may know more about this subject than me or offer their own advise and I will not be offended.
The purpose of this information is to help other modders not to experience the same frustrations I have over the past few days. I know there is a lot of information this does not cover but hopefully this is of use to someone. Now go save the world (...or destroy it your choice)!
I was stumbling my way from 1k to 2k face/body textures and it was fun but frustrating when I couldn't find any help to start off with. But I did manage to get the 2k textures working on everyone, then I thought "my computer can handle 4k so why not" well 2 days later I ran across this post and did some more research and just settled for 2k faces until I want to take some screenshots. The Dream Skin FACE & BODY texture was the biggest indicator for me to just stop for now and have some fun.
