Hi Gary,
I'm curious about this Data Browser. I tried to modify the script
run.sh with the README instructions but with no effects, I always have
the same message:

Specify the full path to your QGIS 1.0.x install.
(Hint: On a Mac this will be something like /Applications/Qgis.app)

Could you add some more specific instruction also for Linux (I'm
trying to run it on Ubuntu 9.10).
Could someone else who succeeded in running it in Linux give me some
hints?
Thank you
Ale

You need to specify the path where the qgis lib and bin directories have
been installed. On some systems this might be /usr or /usr/local. If you
have done a custom build/install it is the prefix directory specified
when you configured qgis.

Hi Gary,

The GeoApt running in Windows XP show the message error:
Dont find entry "?setValid@QgsMapLayer" in libray qgis_core.dll

I test in qgis-dev and qgis-unstable

Procedure:
1) Start windows console by "C:\OSGeo4W\OSGeo4W.bat "
2) Change directory to scripts (Ex.: C:\OSGeo4W\apps\geoapt_0.1)
3) Run file "run.cmd"

Try running it from the OSGeo4W shell from the Start menu (this may be
the same as the .bat but I don't have Windows available to test now).

The process described in the README worked using the latest OSGeo4W
qgis-unstable install on Windows XP SP3.

Start->All programs ->OSGeo4W->OSGeo4W->OSGeo4W Shell

Is the same what describe in README.

My Windows service pack is 2.

The menssage error show when read the line 47of file "GeoApt.py".
"from qgis.core import *"
