Please moderate new members

I'm new here but I notice the last half-dozen posts have been spam.
In my experience running a few opensource projects using Google
Groups, sadly, the spammers are winning this battlefield.

There is one thing you (the admins) can do that solves the problem:
Go to the list settings and turn on "moderate posts from new members".
It's a minor inconvenience to new posters but everyone else on this
list will appreciate the extra diligence.

Could also have the new members be approved by list owner first instead
of auto approved
