API - Height & swissALTI3D

Hello,

I'm looking to gather precise altitude data for terrains (typically 10'000m² at a resolution of 1-2m).

I'd like to use the swissALTI3D service but struggle to find the API to download the tiles via code. I see how to download it manually through the website. I'd rather not download the whole dataset and store it locally.

On the other hand, there is the API Height service, which provides the height for certain coordinates, but only one coordinate at a time. So to respect the usage limits (requests per minute), it would take quite a while to go through a couple of thousand m².

Could anyone point me to the right direction? I would prefer using the swissALTI3D service through an API. I managed to get this, but I don't understand how to get the data for a specific tile/location.

You can use profile requests (  API REST Services — GeoAdmin API 3.0 documentation  ) in your case
