No, this is currently not possible. The closest you may do is using the bbox parameter

e.g. Searching for 'egg' but with a bbox around canton Bern (approx.)

http://api3.geo.admin.ch/rest/services/api/SearchServer?searchText=egg&type=locations&bbox=2550500,1126125,2681500,1232875&sr=2056
