Hello Everyone
I'm trying to put the result layer of a simulation on top of the 3D-Map with a KMZ-File.
The KMZ-File contains a KML and a PNG File. The PNG-File contains the results of the simulation as colors. at end its supposed to look something like this:

example_3d.png

The 3D Map allows to import KMZ-Files, but only the data contained in the KML is included on the map. Not the PNG.

Does anyone know a way to achieve this? Maybe there is a workaround?
I can also generate TIF or SHP or other GEO-Files from our simulation tool.

Thanks in advance for any advices.

Regards, Thomas

Dear Thomas,

Thank you for your question.

In order to help you better with this issue, we would need to have access to your KMZ File. Would you kindly agree to send it to in...@geo.admin.ch for us to analyze it? Please add in the subject the issue: "Display KMZ-Data on 3D Maps".

Thank you very much in advance for your file.

Best regards,

Hi Thomas,

So I had a little look to your KMZ, and we were loading it wrong in the 3D viewer.
I've fixed that, and it should ship with the next release, in a couple of days.

Best regards,
Pascal

Hi again,

The fix has been published on map.geo.admin.ch
Could you give it another try and come back to us if the issue is still there?

Best regards,
Pascal
