Dear All,
As mentioned earlier, the end term paper will have a mix of 2 case-lets and questions asking for short notes. According to sir, there is going to be enough choice in the short notes to help decide which ones to answer.
As far as topics to study for the exam are concerned, the broad portions are the syllabus as mentioned in the course outline. Other than this , it is my personal opinion that we may be asked some questions on China, Central Asia, Pakistan, Afghanistan and current affairs like what's happening in Syria, Egypt. Please use the internet to read up the latest on these issues.
The individual reading, case readings, course outline etc are available at :
\\10.1.1.23\Handouts\Core Faculty\R Chopra\Geo & World Politics folder
I have posted the course outline, individual readings, group readings, individual ppts and group ppts on facebook for those who are interested..
Regarding the e-mails sent by sir containing articles, those are not part of the exam syllabus and were sent purely to increase your awareness of what's going on in the world.
The distribution of marks as per the course outline is as follows:
Individual Evaluation
Class Presence & Preparation: 10%
Individual Presentations: 10%
Individual Project: 10%
Mid Term Examination: 10 %
End-Term Examination: 30%
Group Evaluation
Group Projects & Presentations: 20%*
Case Study: 10%
Since, we did not have any mid term,I think the end term will be for 40 marks. But this is pure conjecture on my part and I cannot be held responsible if the end term exam is more or less than 40 marks.
A request from my side is - please don't call and ask for information that is already in this mail . I've put down the sumtotal of what I know in this mail.
Listed below are the topics in the course outline for those who are still not able to to view it for whatever reason:
