Registration for the 10th annual Geo4LibCamp is now open!
Where: University of Minnesota Campus, Minneapolis, Minnesota
When: May 19-23, 2025
Geo4LibCamp is a hands-on meeting to bring together people working in any area that involves geospatial data. The main focus is to share best-practices, solve common problems, address technical issues, and plan for the future of geospatial librarianship. For the purposes of the camp, we broadly define geospatial data from scanned maps and aerial photography to highly structured geodata. The camp is structured partially as an unconference with suggested topics coming from the participants, but we will also have prepared sessions and a keynote.
Geo4LibCamp typically features a mix of presentations, workshops, and small group discussions that cover a wide range of topics. Conference themes this year include:
Data: Stewardship and Infrastructure
Services: User Engagement and Discovery
Futures: Innovation, Community, and Collaboration
Please see the conference website for more specific topic information!
While there will be some scheduled lightning talks and workshops, Geo4LibCamp is an unconference, which means that the topics for many of the sessions will be developed collaboratively by the participants.
Please see the Geo4LibCamp website for venue information, a tentative agenda, and more!
Please feel free to spread the word about this event.
We hope to see you there!
