Dear Alumni,

          As you are aware CSSTEAP has been regularly organizing courses of varying duration in the fields of Remote Sensing and GIS, Satellite Communications, Satellite Meteorology and Global Climate and Space Sciences for the working scientists and university educators. We have so far conducted 16 Post Graduate Courses in Remote Sensing and GIS (seventeenth course is presently ongoing), 8 courses in Satellite Communications, 7 courses each in Satellite Meteorology and Space Sciences (eighth courses are ongoing) and several short terms courses/workshops. 

The Eighteenth Post Graduate Course on Remote Sensing and GIS (RS & GIS) will be conducted at Indian Institute of Remote Sensing (IIRS), ISRO, Dehradun, India from July 1, 2013 to March 31, 2014.

           I am forwarding herewith a copy of the announcement brochures of the said course with a request to please circulate the same in the user organizations/concerned departments in your country to invite suitable nominations for the same. The details of the course and prescribed application form are available on our web site www.cssteap.org also.

           Since the medium of the instructions/teaching of the course is English, I would appreciate if the applicants take some crash course/coaching on English through some organizations in their country. Preference will be given to those who have competence in spoken, written English language and whose organization will provide financial support towards international travel.
