Hi,

I'm using Genymotion 1.3.0 on Windows 8 Pro x64 with VirtualBox 4.2.16, and the Android is extremely slow - so slow that it's unusable. What could this be?

Thanks,
  Ingmar

Hi Ingmar.

I'm using Genymotion 1.3.0 on Windows 8 Pro x64 with VirtualBox 4.2.18 r88780 on two computers (desktop with Radeon HD 6870 and laptop with Intel/nvidia).
I am running a wide variety of images and they are working smoothly on both machines.
My first offer of advice is to upgrade to the latest version of VirtualBox and report how that works out for you.

Doesn't help. Still extreeemely slow. What are your VirtualBox settings for the actual VM?

Does this picture help list what settings I use for the Virtual Machine itself?

Yes, quite a bit. Do you have multiple CPUs?

Nothing helps. It stays very slow. And I have a very fast computer with SSD.

I'm finding that 1.3.1 with VirtualBox 4.2.18 on Windows 7 x64 starts out fast and then gets progressively slower until I have to restart the virtual device after about 10 minutes.

Kinda sucks :(

Here it seems to be an OpenGL problem. I have the Thinkpad W530 with Intel and NVidia. When I go to the BIOS and set the display to Internal, Genymotion is very fast. As soon as I set the display to any other than Internal, it's extremely slow and it actually takes down the system so I have to hard reboot.

Did you tried to update your NVidia card drivers from NVidia site? Notebook manufacturers doesn't update drivers on official sites for a long time...

I have Intel HD3000 card at home, and AMD HD 5570 at work, and Genymotion work smooth on both of this. What I doing wrong?
On my home notebook Genymotion works OK with integrated HD 3000, and NVidia GT 540 too. But I disabled NVidia for energy saving.

Why you deleted your message with GPU-Z test request? Now I home, and can make it.
That's it:

And yes, I installed Genymotion 1.3.0, and it works smooth.
PS: Windows 8, Virtualbox 4.2.14 r86644. Drivers are from Intel site. Not sure, its latest or not.

We use GPU-z to detect the memory size of graphics card. Yes, I think you can run genymotion smoothly, but can you run angry bird with no screen flashing?

What version of Angry Birds you mean? Angry Birds: Star Wars 2 works very good.
