Dear riders of the realm,
With Pepin now just a week around the bend, the excitement is beginning to feel wonderfully real. Many of you are no doubt making your final preparations: tightening a bolt here, coaxing a stubborn hub back into good humor, or giving your tyres a tentative squeeze before declaring them “probably fine.” Wherever you are in your readiness, may your final week of prep go smoothly. A gentle shakedown ride, a quick stop at a favorite bakery, and even wiping off the dust all count as meaningful progress at this stage. Just remember, last‑minute adjustments are not a sign of poor planning; they are a cherished tradition.
Other ramblings and reminders:
· We have a healthy crew of 82 nutters signed up for the tour; quite a good crowd, but for those still on the fence - don't wait any longer.
· If you find yourself in town a day early, come join our Friday pre-ride gathering at 6pm at the Red Wing Brewery.
· On Saturday we will meet up at 7am in Colvill Park to pick up registration materials and have our opening program before heading off.
· Saturday dinner is once again wherever you can find it; however, the Anderson House in Wabasha is hosting us for a Saturday breakfast buffet, only $13 a head.
· Complete schedule to follow in the final update.
Hope to see you all in a week’s time!
Best along the path,
Noah Holzer
