Dear riders of the realm,

As August’s gentle warmth settles over the Twin Cities, we stand ready to trade our familiar winding paths for the stately avenues of Minneapolis and St. Paul. Break out your tweed vests, ready your steeds, and dust off that dubious sense of direction; the All-British Cycling Event is on again!

Other nuts and bolts:

·      The event runs September 12th -14th this year.

·      The customary pre-ride gathering will be held at the Urban Growler on the Friday before the ride; I plan to arrive around 5:30 pm.

·      The main ride will depart from Merlin’s Rest at 9am on Saturday. We’ll spend the day meandering from Minneapolis to St. Paul and back again, stopping for several sundries along the way.

·      Upon our arrival back at Merlin’s we’ll have dinner and share a celebratory pint.

·      Sunday we meet at Bang Brewing for the Cycle Jumble, then set off on the Gentleman’s Tour. Pizza and drinks await our return as we sit down to swap stories, both true and otherwise.

·      Further updates and route maps to follow!

Best along the path,

Noah Holzer

Just a quick update on David Sieving since Sundays event.  After extensive testing they did not find any new concerns during his overnight stay at Regions hospital.  They suspect it was a combination of dehydration and his earlier TIA plaques.   They are changing his meds and releasing him to go home on his own.  I'm sure you will all join me in wishing him godspeed to a return to cycling soon.

Thanks for the update on Dave.  Also thanks to you and Sandy for helping Dave in his time of need.  It was great to see you two this past weekend.

Hope Dave is feeling better and will be back on his bicycles soon.

Andy
