Yesterday Waldmann's announced the release of their Weihnachtsbier (“Christmas Eve’s beer”). The introduction goes on to say…
Each brewer has their own special recipe, and last year Head Brewer Matt created a very special weihnactsdunkelweizenbock (dark wheat Christmas bock), softening the barley grain blend with Weyermann dark and chocolate wheat malts, adding orange blossom honey to the boil and then infusing the ale during secondary fermentation with a subtle blend of sweet orange peel, vanilla beans and cinnamon sticks. Clocking in at 7.3% ABV, this beer begged for time--so we cold-lagered it another full year. The result is a silky-smooth, full-bodied, black onyx ale with no bitterness and just a hint of honey-spice essence. Definitely a beer you'll want to sip. Available starting today, only on tap.
I don’t know about you, but I think I am blushing at this point…
They state there is only 2 kegs of this elixir. This may mean that it may not be available at our next meeting, on January 7th. I am calling an emergency meeting to try this new release, and maybe have some dinner. I am calling this on Monday, December the 22nd at approximately 5:30pm.
As we this close to Christmas, I am also suggesting that maybe we could be dressed in our finest Christmas attire. Let me know how many representatives you are planning on, and I can get a table to accommodate.
